Kids are small. But they can ACT BIG.

Sugarlump was born 21 years ago alongside my daughter, Elliot. As I watched her grow, I relived the magic of being a little girl: glitter, stickers, rainbows, coloring contests. It was THE BEST!

Until the elementary school “mean girl” showed up. I lost my friends and felt completely alone. But eventually, I found a light inside myself.

I started drawing characters of classmates and passed them around like tiny love notes. Sharing those “love” notes connected me with kids who felt the same way I did, and I found healing through imagination, empathy, and bringing joy to others.

That moment changed my life–and, without knowing it, planted the seed for sugarlump.

As I grew up, I became a professional designer and creative director, working on powerful global brands like Nike at Wieden + Kennedy. I learned how to craft stories that move people– and now I use those same skills to move something even more important: the hearts of children. My characters emerge from my computer now, instead of a pencil drawing passed around in the lunch room. What I have created with sugarlump is a new digital “love note” that will reach much farther than it could in one little elementary school in Portland, Oregon.

Sugarlump is more than a brand. It's a mission.

It’s a kindness-powered world where kids go on real-life adventures–collecting stickers, scanning magical QR codes, and completing acts of kindness that make a real differencein their homes, schools, and neighborhoods.

We use augmented reality, experiential design, storytelling, and character-building missions to help kids do something radical in today’s world:

💛 Love themselves.

🌈 Celebrate others.

🍬 Build joy, on purpose.

Sugarlump helps kids feel their value. It gives them tools to connect, create, and build the world we all wish existed. The truth is, we can't wait. Our kids are growing up in a noisy, divided, and sometimes cruel world. But if we give them kindness, empathy, and emotional tools early on they will change it.

Thank you for being part of this mission. Together, we can rebuild our neighborhoods and help our kids create a world they want to live in. One sticker. One story. One child at a time.

With hope and heart,
XOXO Erin
